“If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head.
If you talk to him in his language that goes to his heart.”
As with every important thing in life, our journey into the world of languages started by accident. Almost without realising, going from one place to the other, discovering new countries and new cultures, meeting people from all over the world, we started to notice that talking to people in their own language it is not only communicating but building a bridge between their world and yours, and that is the best journey anyone can ever make.
It is this belief that makes the whole team of people who are part of Acorn Quality Language Learning committed to your learning, so that you can stop learning languages and start living them in a natural way, with the same passion we apply to our job.
Located in Lesaka, and with the same spirit as a little acorn which grows into a magnificent oak tree, Acorn Quality Language Learning opened its doors to the world of language learning in 2011, with the only aim of supporting the linguistic development of anyone who wants or needs to improve or learn to communicate in a language other than their own.
For this purpose Acorn Quality Language Learning offers modern, light and comfortable classrooms equipped with interactive materials, a Virtual Campus, media library, free Internet access and a book lending service for our students.
- WE BELIEVE IN THE DIVERSITY OF EQUALITY….
Therefore, our facilities are fitted out and accessible to people with reduced mobility.
For your peace of mind and following the British standards, all our classrooms have a glass panel which allows you to see inside them so that you can see what’s going on in the classroom at any time.
- WE LOOK AFTER THE ENVIRONMENT….
We believe that looking after the environment means looking after all of us so at Acorn Quality Language Learning we comply with the SMES’ sustainability standards, reducing the impact of our activity on the environment by using recycled products and recycling our waste so that we can all enjoy nature like we deserve.
At Acorn Quality Language Learning personalisation is the key to our work. It is the essence of our philosophy, the understanding that each person has a different cognitive style which is reflected in different learning styles requiring specific strategies. Therefore, at Acorn we attach great importance to the process of Learning how to learn (LHTL), which helps students learn a new language in a natural way which is exclusive to each person.
At Acorn Quality Language Learning we have a team of native teachers, with ample experience and trained in the teaching of their native language to foreign students. Using a highly communicative methodology focused on the concept of learning how to learn, they help students to find their own learning strategies. This methodology revolves around the development of the communicative skills of each one of our students, which allows them to acquire grammatical structures in a natural and contextualised way.
Furthermore, we offer you the possibility to complement your on-school course thanks to our free Virtual Campus, where you will find a whole virtual world of additional content so that you can continue with your learning from wherever you are.
